Most of you will be aware that the standard of the broadband services available in the South Cambridgeshire villages has been appalling (unless you had access to Virgin cable). BT Openreach has received a large amount of government funding (our money) to provide 'super fast' broadband (via fibre) to households and businesses which didn't have access to Virgin. This has now been made available to most of the villages, with completion due by end 2015. Where it has worked it has been good. However:

1. BT Openreach appears not to have made fibre available to a significant number of properties not served by Virgin.
2. They have also made it available to properties already served by Virgin, which is outside their remit and you may view as being anti-competitive, given it has been done with government funding.

I'm not trying to address the second issue. What I do want to do is to quantify the extent of the first issue to see whether we can do anything to help people who have been missed by the BT Openreach programme. I would really appreciate it if you could spend five minutes answering the questions below. Please also circulate this to friends and neighbours as appropriate.

3. If the answer to 2 wasn't Virgin, do you have conventional broadband or fibre?
