Cambridge Open Studios - Sarah WalshJuly 1st and 2nd11am - 6pmWillow End, Kings Mills lane, Great Shelford
"In 2016 an attempt at ‘downsizing’ caused painting to go on a back burner. By the end of the year, the pull of Willow End and her riverside studio had proved too great to leave such idyllic surroundings. So, painting and Open Studios have taken over Sarah’s life again.

"Inspiration comes from her surroundings, whether from the domestic world around her in her Cambridge home, or from regular trips to Cornwall or to East Anglian. Her preferred medium remains oils, despite also enjoying life drawing with charcoal, graphite or pen and ink. Colour, form and light mingle in her work as she experiences new ways of seeing the world around her and new ways of representing it."

A member of Cambridge Drawing Society and Cambridge Open Studios, Sarah looks forward to welcoming you to her studio in King’s Mill Lane on the weekends of 1-2 July and 8-9 July, from 11am to 6pm.
