Great Shelford Annual Parish MeetingApril 187pmGreat Shelford Memorial Hall

This is the village’s meeting, not the Parish Council’s. It is an opportunity to hear reports from all the village’s clubs and associations as well as the Parish Council. We will be discussing the key issues the Parish Council will be focusing on over the next year. There will be ample time to ask questions on the various presentations and refreshments afterwards, with time to meet the clubs, associations and the parish councillors informally. More information from Councillor Bridget Hodge, Councillor Peter Fane or Parish Clerk Mike Winter.

The Annual Parish Meeting is approaching, and a very important part of this meeting is for parishioners to hear the reports of the various groups in the Parish.  To this end, we would like to receive a report from your association, sports group or body to be presented at the meeting.  We would like the reports to be available in hard copy in the library before the meeting, on the Parish Council website and circulated to website subscribers. No hard copies will be provided at the APM.

To this end, we would like you to send your report to me, the Parish Clerk at parishclerkgreatshelford@gmail.com as soon as possible and definitely by the 3rd April 2018, to allow time for the reports to be collated and put into a screen presentation.

NOTE. Reports not received by the deadline will not be presented at the APM and your association will not be represented and not be able to speak at the Village APM.

A considerable number of speakers are scheduled and time for these reports is limited.

Please therefor limit your report along the following lines

•       Speakers will be restricted to 1-2 minutes maximum. Please focus on the key issues you want to present.

•       Present a report of no more than 4-5 bullet points. If you additionally want to make a fuller report, that's fine and we'll circulate it electronically.

•       Reports in Word format only to allow us to merge them into one presentation.

•       Provide the Name and Position of the representative who will speak on behalf of your group or association so they can be introduced.

•       Come down to the front of the hall when the previous speaker starts, to save time.

The theme of the meeting this year will be the Key issues to address for the Village in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

The official meeting will be followed by informal discussions with councillors and representatives of the various associations on any topic of public interest whilst enjoying refreshments.

The Parish Council very much hope you will be able to come along for a sociable and informative evening.
